CLASSROOMS

Children are placed in class rooms appropriate to their age and development. The director makes placement decisions in collaboration with the parent while still meeting KDH&E licensing requirements to ensure the children are in appropriate classrooms.

The center has twelve individualized classrooms. We offer eight infant and toddler classrooms. There are typically three infants and five toddlers in each classroom but no more the eight children in the room. A teacher and an assistant teacher are assigned to each classroom while at capacity.

The center has four classrooms for pre-school age children. The number of children range from 17 to 20 children depending upon the size of the classroom. A teacher and assistant teacher are assigned to each classroom when classrooms are close to or at capacity.

Assigned classroom teachers each have a minimum of a CDA and may have a bachelor or associate college degree. All assistant teachers have received training or previous experience in child care and are working to obtain their CDA.
